Our Story

Maddie DeJong founded The Green Sling™ as a solution to a problem she faced while running - what to do with that pesky additional layer. With her background in textiles, apparel and sustainability, Maddie set out to create a solution that did not contribute additional waste to the eco-system. After two iterations of prototypes, The Green Sling™ was perfected and is now patent-pending.

Empowering Women

We've partnered with HTX Sewn Goods to bring the Green Sling™ to life. As a non-profit, HTX Sewn Goods empowers local women through skills training and fair wages, fostering economic growth and upward mobility. The Green Sling is proud to support our Houston community while creating products that make a difference.

Stick Man

Stick Man embodies everything that is key to the Green Sling™ brand! This fun, reflective guy enables us to add a touch of safety to our products. Stick Man also makes it possible to cover small imperfections that may arise from up-cycling leggings. Keep an eye out for Stick Man on your Green Sling™.
